Aliza was raised in the UAE and moved to London at seventeen. She started Durrat al Khaleeji because the modest pieces she grew up with — the abayas, the mukhawars, the quiet detail — felt impossible to find here. So she made them. Each piece is handmade in the UAE, in small numbers, by people who’ve done this for generations.
